Rhinoplasty, also known as nasal reshaping, or a “nosejob”, is an operation that provides enduring results at any age. It is an operation that requires a keen aesthetic sense, artistry, detailed pre-operative analysis, and skilled execution of surgical maneuvers. Since the nose is such a central landmark of the face, patients who undergo rhinoplasty have a significant enhancement of their overall facial appearance. This can translate into a marked improvement in self-esteem and social functioning. Oftentimes, the benefit is not only cosmetic, but functional as well. Analyzing facial proportions and the relationship of the nose to the remaining facial features is an essential part of the consultation process and pre-operative analysis. Attention to detail is of paramount importance… millimeters make a difference.
Through a series of finesse rhinoplasty techniques, nasal bones are often repositioned, and cartilage refinement takes place. This can include cartilage suturing, scoring, grafting, and struts. Surgical maneuvers that are executed with precision translate into external cosmetic enhancements once the skin is redraped. Commonly, the nose is approached through a purely endonasal approach (internal incisions), but if needed, then through an external approach (internal incisions with a small concealed incision across the columella).

Computer imaging is a valuable communication tool that is used by our surgeons to demonstrate anticipated results to patients. Dr. Agarwal has published scientific research on the accuracy of computer imaging during rhinoplasty consultation.
There is no age limit to rhinoplasty. In general, some patients begin to consider rhinoplasty at an early age, while others note aging related changes to their nasal appearance (such as tip enlargement and drooping of the nasal tip). Drs. Agarwal, Maloney, Ross, and Holmes are skilled at diagnosing and treating rhinoplasty patients of all ages. Patients travel from across North America, South America, Europe, India, and the Middle East for their expertise in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty procedures. Full accommodations are available for out of town patients and can be arranged through our patient coordinator by calling 239-594-9100. Naples, Florida is a beautiful setting in which to recuperate.
