Rhinoplasty Before and After Photos
Rhinoplasty, also commonly known as a nose job, is one of the most common procedures performed at the Aesthetic Surgery Center. As a central feature of the face, if the nose is too large or crooked, it can take one’s attention away from the eyes. Refining the nose and making it straighter and smaller can refocus attention on the eyes, where it belongs. During rhinoplasty, cartilage is reshaped and refined, a hump may be reduced, the nose may be brought closer to the face, the tip may become more defined, the nose may be straightened, and the tip lifted or lowered, depending on where it starts.
It is an incredibly rewarding operation because of the longevity of the result. Millimeters make a difference and preoperative analysis, intraoperative judgement, and overall aesthetic perception all lead to a desirable result. The operation is performed in our AAAASF certified state of the art operating room with a deep intravenous anesthetic and is an outpatient procedure. A splint or cast is applied externally to the nose, which remains in place for one week. It is normal to have some bruising and swelling around the eyes, which usually lasts one to two weeks. When the splint is removed, usually there is rebound swelling of the nose because it is no longer compressed. This comes down over the ensuing few weeks, and the final result is seen one year or more later.
It is imperative to have your rhinoplasty performed by a plastic surgeon with expertise in working on the face and specifically with someone who has performed hundreds of rhinoplasty procedures. We encourage you to consult with one of our rhinoplasty surgeons and invite you to review our extensive before and after photo gallery to see examples of our work. Ultimately, before and after photographs give you the opportunity to see the aesthetic style of our physicians, which is important when seeking the type of result that you desire.
